Solar Project

Solar Project Image

In May of 2015, Sioux Valley Energy constructed a solar array at its Brandon Service Center.  The 24.8 kW array has 80 panels that face south, southwest and west.  Members can view the production output of those panels as it correlates to the weather.

The Sioux Valley Energy Solar Project was meant to help members and employees learn more about the potential production output and costs associated with installing solar. Because of the three directions the panels are facing, the Cooperative should also be able to discern the value of solar at different times of the day.

To view the solar production from this project, view the SOLAR PROJECT MONITOR.
